Sun City Palm Desert is the premiere active adult community in the Coachella Valley with about 5,000 single level homes and is the only active adult community in our valley that has earned the prestigious Medallion Award. We have also been the Desert Sun’s “Best in Desert” winner for both 2021 and 2022.

Sun City Palm Desert offers its residents a lush resort style environment, and has the most amenities and more activities than any other community in the Valley, while still having the lowest recurring costs of any Valley active adult community in its class. In spite of our very low recurring costs for our residents, we have a robust Financial Reserve account and are considered to be in very good financial condition. The fact that we are self-managed by hundreds of resident volunteers and our professional team of employees, helps us keep our HOA dues low and our financial condition very solid, as well as allowing us to be very responsive to our residents by maintaining excellent two-way communications with them.

Our residents asked for a larger gathering space, a larger bar area and more outdoor dining space at our main restaurant, so we listened and just completed a multimillion-dollar remodel and expansion of our Boulevard’s restaurant, including the addition of three outdoor firepits with fantastic views. This was all accomplished with our existing funds and reserves, without the need for any borrowing or special assessments.

Because of what we offer buyers, Sun City Palm Desert has the most sales per month of all the active adult communities in the Valley. That also means we typically have the most open houses for potential buyers to look through on any given weekend. To make it easy for you find and tour the many open houses here at Sun city Palm Desert, we post a list of Open Houses on this page on Friday mornings and the Open House lists are available at our Welcome Center in the Sunset View Club House (the middle clubhouse). The Welcome Center is staffed with knowledgeable volunteers who can answer your questions Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 2 pm.
